Reserving A Court Tutorial:
Ashburn Farm Community Members and their guests can enjoy twelve tennis courts that are located throughout the community. The courts open at daylight or 6 AM. Courts without lights are closed at dark. Lit courts close at 11 PM. The Tennis Courts may be reserved. Please stop by the Association Community Center Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM or give us a call at (703) 729-6680, or send an email to Info@afhoa.net to make a reservation. Reservations are posted on the community calendar so others can see bookings and plan accordingly. Reservation requests must be made at least twenty-four hours before the requested date, during Association office hours which are Monday – Friday 9 AM – 5 PM. Reservations are first-come, first-served, and are limited to 1 ½ hour for singles; 2 hours for doubles, unless otherwise approved by the Association
OUR COURTS
Windmill Tennis Courts
There are four lit tennis courts located behind the Windmill Community Center, at 21400 Windmill Drive, and are part of the Windmill Recreational Area. Parking is available near the courts. Crossroads Tennis Courts
There are two unlit tennis courts located at the intersection of Claiborne Pkwy and Crossroads Drive. Parking is available curbside, along Crossroads Drive. There are no bathroom facilities at the courts. Please click here to view the Crossroads Court Reservation Schedule.

Rules for use of Tennis Courts

Patrons of the Association tennis courts use the courts at their own risk.

Monopolizing of courts is prohibited

Courts are for recreational use only. If you are a league, please contact the Association for instructions.

The Member that booked the reservation is responsible to ensure all Association Rules are followed during their reservation.

The Association asks that you collect any items or trash at the end of your reservation/use.

No pets, bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades, skate shoes, cleats, etc., are allowed on the tennis courts.

Tennis Courts may not be used for any purpose other than tennis or pickleball unless authorized by the Association in writing.

Defacing the Association’s common area property, including basketball courts, trash cans, etc. is unacceptable. All efforts will be made to hold those responsible accountable.

Propper attire, including appropriate footwear, must be worn at all times.

No alcoholic beverages are permitted at any time.

No drawing or graffiti on courts, or sitting/walking on nets, climbing or jumping on fences, gates, etc.

Ashburn Farm Association assumes no responsibility for any accident or injury in connection with such use or for any loss and/or damage to personal property.

No vehicles are allowed in the common area. Unauthorized vehicles in the common area are trespassing.

No trespassing. Participating in the prohibited activities listed above will be regarded as trespassing, and the Sheriff’s Department will be contacted at (703) 777-1021.
Notice
Patrons of the AFHOA Recreational facilities, not limited to, but including the tennis courts, use said facilities at their own risk. Ashburn Farm Association, its Members, Staff & Contractors, assume no responsibility or liability for any accident or occurrence involving: injury or other bodily harm, loss, or damage of personal property in connection with the use of said facilities.
Ashburn Farm Association can close the courts at will, without prior notice.

The Luis Rosado Tennis Academy is in Ashburn Farm! The Luis Rosado Tennis Academy offers many Tennis Programs for all ages and skill levels, as well as summer camps, youth group programs, etc. at the Breezyhill Recreational Area Tennis Courts, and other locations. Need a Tennis Partner?
If you love to play but sometimes need a partner, you may want to sign up to be added to our list of other residents who fall in the same category. To participate, please send your name and contact number(s), and your rating (either self-rated or assigned a rating by a tennis instructor) to Info@afhoa.net, and the Association will try to connect players.
Pickleball
Pickleball has become a growing trend across the nation. Click here to learn more about it. Ashburn Farm is including pickleball lines on all courts as part of the regular maintenance cycle.
Court Maintenance
The courts were resurfaced in 2019 and are maintained on a five-year cycle, making the next resurfacing 2024. The courts are checked weekly for maintenance issues with the gates, nets, squeegees. Trash cans are emptied twice weekly. The lights at the lit courts are maintained annually. If you notice anything that needs attention, please contact maintenance@afhoa.net.
Gardengate Tennis Courts
There are two unlit courts located off the walking trail on Gardengate Circle and are part of the Gardengate Recreational Area, which lies just north of the Association’s beloved White Oak Tree & Springwater Court. Summerwood Tennis Courts
