Members and Guests using the pools do so at
their own risk. Lifeguards are on duty to enforce Rules and
Regulations and to respond to emergencies. You are ultimately responsible for
the safety of your children and guests!
No lifeguards are on duty at the wading
pools.

When school is still in session the hours are
modified slightly: Windmill & Summerwood do not open until 4:00 p.m. and
Breezyhill does not open until 1:00 p.m. The pool closings times do not
change.
Ashburn
Farm has a masters swimming practice group that swims during the summer
months. The purpose is to allow adult members
of the community to have a friendly and supportive swimming workout
close to home a few days a week. The focus is on overall fitness,
improved endurance, and swimming technique. These are self-coached
set of workouts 3 mornings a week (M-W-F) from 6:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m. and
are held at the Summerwood Pool. There are no charges for these practice
sessions.
The
program is open to current season (2010) pool members 18 years and
older. All abilities are welcomed and encouraged - from competitive
swimmers and tri-athletes to those just trying to get or stay in shape.

Pool ID pictures are
required for children 6 years and older (by July 14th) Children must have their
pool passes updated with a new picture every 3 years or earlier.
Adults are required to have updated photo id's if there is a
significant change in appearance or every 5 years.
Memberships are not
transferable!

Pool Pass Renewal Information for 2011 Season
KEEP YOUR POOL PASSES!
As of September 7th, 2010, everyone’s pool pass will be turned
off for the season.
After the first of the year, the newsletter will have the pool
application to be filled out and either mailed in or scanned and
emailed, whichever is more convenient for you.
Upon receipt of the application, residency and current
account status will be verified and the passes will be turned
back on for opening weekend.
The only people who have to come into open registration
will be families with a child turning 6, new residents or
restricted members, and those who never got a pass in 2010.
Those open registration dates will begin in March and
will be published in the newsletter, on the website, on the
reader boards, and sent to email alert list participants.
Anyone who has lost a pass can simply have it reprinted
for $5 and mailed to your home.
Ashburn Farm Pool Members can purchase guest passes for $5.00 per
person or $20.00 per card (which contains 4 guest passes).
These guest passes can be obtained at the pools (by check only-no
cash is accepted at any of the pools) or purchased at the
Association Office with cash.
Guest
passes must be purchased by a current pool member and are for
non-Ashburn Farm Residents only.
All
Ashburn Farm residents must have a pool membership to gain access
to any of the pools.
Children 11 years or younger must be
accompanied and supervised by an adult or care provider at least 14 years old at
all times.

or wheeled vehicles, except wheelchairs and strollers

devices except water wings, U.S.C.G. approved life vests and
U.S.C.G. approved swimwear floatation devices.

NO DISPOSABLE
DIAPERS. Children not yet toilet trained must wear plastic
pants or "Swimmies" (swim diapers) under their bathing suits.

Children 11 years
or younger must be accompanied and supervised by an adult or
care provider at least 14 years old. (The child must be
12 years old and above to gain access to the pool without a
care provider).

Pool members are
responsible for the conduct of their guests.
-
Children under 12
years old must pass the Swim Test to use the diving boards and
slide. The Swim Test must be taken each year (more
information below).

Parents are
responsible for the safety and conduct of all children in their
care.
-
Pool membership
can be temporarily suspended or revoked for failing to comply
with the pool rules.
Children under 12
must past the Swim Test each year to use the diving boards and
slide. The Swim Test is given by a lifeguard or pool
manager. It consists of swimming 25 yards and treading
water for one minute. A patch will be issued to children
passing the swim test and it must be visually displayed on the
swimsuit. If your child needs to take the swim test,
notify the lifeguard or pool manager at the pools.
Reasons for Pool
Closings
The pool area and deck must
remain clear for forty-five minutes after the last clap of thunder or
visible lightening.
For rain –
unless it is a hard rain (cannot see the bottom of deep end) or the
temperature is excessively cold, the pool should remain open.
In cases
where there are fecal and/or vomit accidents – the affected pool has to
cleared (closed) for 6 hours.
If for any other reason a pool
requires closing for emergency repair situations, a notice is posted on the
pool house doors.

Beginning with the 2010 pool season, your HOA dues now include membership to
all three of our pools. Your only out-of-pocket cost will be $5 for
each new ID card. This is a one-time cost, unless you need to
replace your card at a later date.
$5.00 for an
individual guest pass or $20.00 per card (which contains 4 guest
passes) - the passes are non-refundable - buy only what you will
need. You cannot use passes purchased from previous pool
seasons.

Guest passes are
required for all guests 1 year or older.

Guests must be
accompanied by a pool member or must have the member's pool
pass with them.

One adult (18
years or older) may bring up to 5 guests.

A member 12-17
years of age may bring up to 2 guests.
*Summerwood Pool Early Closings
On the following dates, Summerwood Pool will close at
4:00 PM to allow the Swim Team time to set up for meets, time trials,
etc.
In cases where the Swim Team
has special use of the Summerwood Pool for an event, notices are posted
inside the pool house well in advance of the scheduled event.

Tables cannot be
reserved for any parties. You can use tables on a
first-come, first-served basis. All tables must be
returned to their proper place.

Trash must be
placed in trashcans and not left on tables or ground areas.

Parties are
limited to 15 people or less. One adult pool member (for
supervision) is required for every 5 children.

Please do not plan
parties for holiday weekends.
