Lawns
A lawn
consists of narrow leaved green herbage, which is cultivated and is grown as
grass. It is uniform and consistent throughout. Crabgrass and clover, to
name a few, are considered a pest in lawns. They have a different texture
and color that interrupts the uniformity of a lawn and are undesirable and
unattractive.
Lawns are not to be
removed in their entirety; this applies to both the front and back yards.
Any alteration to the lawn landscaping
requires the submission of an Exterior Alteration Application.
No artificial turf
or grass is permitted.
Townhouse rear yards must have at least 10% green space
or a 2’ wide planting strip along the rear property line.
Refer to other sections of this document for
acceptable plantings.
